New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and HCL Infosystem Ltd on July 8.
The MoU has been signed to start courses in computer science, software engineering, information technology and computational sciences.
The MoU envisages activities in a slew of areas, including jointly setting up an Education Grid Laboratory and Advanced Centre for Informatics and Innovative Learning.
In addition to MoU with HCL, the varsity has also started a study centre at Palakkad (Kerala). The study centre will start functioning from coming August with MBA batch.
Students having graduation degree with 50pc marks in aggregate are eligible for the course, while reserved category students need 45pc marks.
Candidates who have work experience will need less percentage of mark depending on the number of years of experience.
IGNOU will provide printed study material in each subject.
Application form can be downloaded from www.ignou.ac.in and the filled in application should be forwarded with a demand draft for Rs 500 drawn in favour of IGNOU, payable at Delhi on or before July 14.
