For those who have the business insight to innovate future strategies and are confident of building the best business ideas of tomorrow, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has declared the registrations for The 4th CIMA Global Business Challenge (GBC) open.
The fourth edition of the CIMA Global Business Challenge 2012-a global case study competition for undergraduate students, began in India. Taking into consideration the overwhelming response of the first three years, CIMA is expecting the participations to grow much higher this year. The Indian winners of the GBC 2012 would compete at the global level with the lead teams from 22 other countries like Australia, Bangladesh, Mainland China, Ghana, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Ireland, Malaysia, Middle East, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka and UK in the global finals, in June 2012.
Arati Porwal, chief representative, CIMA India said, “CIMA Global Business Challenge has always provided undergraduate students an international platform to show case their business acumen. It has proved to be an extremely popular competition for India’s ambitious future business leaders. We therefore expect a stronger participation in GBC 2012, than the over 400 teams that participated last year. To help the students prepare for the GBC 2012, CIMA has this year, taken certain steps to raise the bar of competition and enrich the participant’s experience. These steps include holding case study analysis workshops in colleges.”
The mini case study workshops by CIMA will help the participants test their business analysis skills. The Institutions and students interested in this workshop can contact the CIMA representative on +91 22 42370105 or mail at [email protected].
The participating teams at the CIMA Global Business Challenge 2012 are expected to analyse, report and present on a CIMA case study. Along with exciting cash prizes for the global winners, teams winning the regional and national rounds will also get to win a host of prizes and free participation to a host of CIMA workshops.
