Fast running developments in nanotechnology is likely to march ahead of Information Technology all over the world, a top official said here.
Speaking to reporters here, Dr K A Moly, convenor of a two day national seminar on "Emerging Trends in Nanotechnology" here, said nanotechnology plays a major role in healthcare industry, evident from use of nano-particles in cancer therapy and targeted drug delivery systems. "It is the technology of the future and we have to tap its potential", she said.
Over 500 delegates from the country will participate in the seminar at Bishop Kurialacherry College for Women at nearby Amalagiri on September 29.
The lectures will encompass basic studies and applications of nanotechnology and topics of novel issues related to the field.
