“Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art,” wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson. In a world dominated by first impressions and craving for that elusive quality called elegance, a workshop which aims to bring about a complete development in women becomes doubly important. The Education Times in association with Gunjan Jain conducted a two day image make-over modular workshop called ‘Unleash The Beauty Within’ at the Park Hotel on September 24 and 25 from 11am to 6pm, to make a few chosen participants awaken the potential within.
Gunjan Jain, image consultant and founder-director of GJ Lifestyle Management Co said, “The workshop is based on the Image curriculum of the London Image Institute and
Academy of Image Mastery, Singapore, and follows a deep scientific learning approach. This interactive workshop concentrates on three key segments-appearance, behaviour and communication.” The modules that were covered are appearance management, social etiquette, grooming, fitness, skin care and make-up, body language, voice coaching, personality development and so on.
The two day session not only packed in exhaustive and informative sessions by Gunjan but educative lectures by guest speakers such as Abhijeet Chanda, make-up artist, Abhishek Dutta, fashion designer, Parvana Babaycon, grooming expert, Dr Sachin Verma, dermatologist and Dolly Jain, draping expert. From interesting tips on how to behave in a social environment to what cuts, colours and fabrics to wear, Gunjan’s mission was to ‘involve each and every participant in this transformative process and work from the foundation up.’
“The objective of this workshop was to make women comfortable in their own skin. The participants were made aware of the impression that they make on others and how to project themselves by understanding their USP. They learned the science and art behind making an impact,” added Gunjan.
Priya Saxena, working in an IT venture said, “Initially I was apprehensive but gradually I learned to open up to myself and in the process, learn more.” Aishwarya Jain, student, summed up her experience, “Like any other girl I want to look different without being disastrous. This workshop has helped me to understand myself and hence, the choices available to me, from a fresher perspective.”
The participants were presented with certificates at the end of the workshop.
