Have you ever seen the effects of the velocity of air, or the way sound creates waves in air, or how a ball can be made to float in air? There is no magic involved in it and science is the answer to all of it.

A practical approach to science can leave a lasting impact.

In an attempt to encourage the next generation of scientists, Japan-based Gakken Science Academy has introduced science experiments as part of school education on a regular basis where students are made to do the experiments on their own and assess the outcome.
New experience

The city-based Ravindra Bharathi Public School at Satyanarayanapuram partnered with the Zee Larn Gakken Science Academy to extend this privilege to its students.

Zee Learn academic head, Hyderabad, L. Karthik and zonal head, Zee Learn Limited, Mumbai M. Shafi and State head Zee Learn Limited A.J.S. Prasad, participated in the session.

Chairman of the Ravindra Bharathi Educational Society V. Vamsi Krishna and Correspondent V. Venkateswara Rao were also present.

Mr. Vamsi said through this programme, students were sure to develop interest in science. “The whole idea is to enable students to understand the basic concepts of science and explore its various facets.

This ‘learning by doing' mode will also promote the spirit of questioning in them, which is so very essential for development of science,” he said. Nearly 300 students attended the demo session.
