Karnataka Knowledge Commission term extended for 2 yrs

The term of the Karnataka Knowledge Commission, set up to suggest measures to improve the quality of higher education in the state, was today extended by two more years.
 
Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda made the announcement after Commission chairman and noted space scientist K Kasturirangan met him to present the final report.
 
The term of the Commission set up three years ago expires by September 30. Gowda told reporters that the Commission has done a laudable job and that twelve of its 22 recommendations had been implemented by the state government.
