Intoxicant drugs usage increasing among adolescent girls

Use of intoxicant drugs among adolescent girls is on the increase in Kerala, a senior official said here today.
  
Mahila Samakhya (Education for Women's Equality) state director Seema Bhaskaran said this during an interaction with girl students at Help Desks in schools as part of Sarva Shiksha Abhayan, where 67 cases were reported.
  
Another issue which came to light was problems faced by girl students due to lack of sanitation facilities in schools. It was found that urinary infection among students was high in many places, she said.
