All India Management Association (AIMA) said it will launch Management Aptitude and Skills Test on September 25, for business school students, who do not have access to recruitment opportunities in corporates like Religare and Maruti.

There would be almost 5,000 students of 200 institutions appearing for the test, to be held in 20 different centres of AIMA this week, the institute said.

"The objective of MAST is to bridge the gap between demand and supply of managerial manpower, help potential recruiters to reach out to the remotely-located institutions," AIMA Director General Rekha Sethi told reporters here.

AIMA has developed this test in consultation with companies like Nokia, Maruti, Max India, Tata Communications, who will approach the students for interviews themselves.

Every student appearing in MAST will be given a score card and as per the scores, these companies will call pupils from remotest of the areas, the Director General said.

However, Sethi denied job guarantee in these renowned companies. AIMA has tied-up with over 100 companies, to consider MAST scores.

AIMA also conducts a standardised Management Aptitude Test (MAT) to facilitate business schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes.
