A principals meeting was held at Kendriya Vidyalaya Barrackpore (army), recently. Principals of 62 Kendriya Vidyalayas of the regions in Kolkata visited the Vidyalaya .The meeting was presided by C Neelap, assistant commissioner of the Kendriya Vidyalayas Kolkata region accompanied by education officers, Jyoti Varma and Usha Iyer.
The principal Dr V S Mishra, as well as the students and teachers of the school extended a warm welcome. The students of the school presented a brief cultural programme. Each principal highlighted the progress and problems of their respective vidyalayas.
Neelap gave valuable instructions for the development of the vidyalayas of the region and wanted them to score a hundred percent result during the examinations. All information regarding the city and Kendriya Vidyalaya Barrackpore was exhibited in the meeting through slide presentation.
The AC and Eos awarded a former student of the Vidyalaya, Kanupriya Dwivedi, who was the topper among all the kendriya vidyalayas in India with 95.4 per cent, in Humanities in the Class XII CBSE examination.
The officers went through the Vidyalaya and appreciated the the existing infrastructure and curriculum. They also shared valuable suggestions for the all round development of the Vidyalaya.
