Concerned over the declining rate of admission seekers in two agriculture universities of Jammu and Kashmir, a panel of six members headed by chief secretary has been set up by the state government to study and suggest ways to arrest the ongoing trend.
The panel has been constituted to suggest a pragmatic approach for arresting the declining trend of admission seekers in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir and Jammu, Commissioner-Secretary to
Government, General Administration Department (GAD), Mohammad Sayeed Khan said.
The Committee would give its recommendations within a one month, he said.
The panel will also examine the feasibility of conducting a common entrance test for the two Universities for admission.
