Youngsters should follow a systematic lifestyle that will enable them to achieve greater heights in the career of their choice, D. Napoleon, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment said here on Saturday.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 168th annual sports meet of St. Joseph's College after taking the salute, Mr. Napoleon said that involvement in sporting activities was one of the ways to lead a disciplined life.
An alumnus of the college, Mr. Napoleon exhorted the student community to put in their best to excel in their chosen field. At the valediction, Rev. Fr. John Britto, college Rector; Rev.Fr. Albert Muthumalai, secretary; Rev.Fr. Sebastian Anand, principal; and Rev.Fr.John Bosco, deputy principal, gave away prizes in the presence of Rev.Fr. Xavier Arockiasamy, sports coordinator; M. Kasi, director of physical education; and T. Jeshurun Deepakumar, assistant director of physical education.
The History Department won the overall championship in Shift-I, while Commerce Department bagged the honours in Shift-II.
