Kolkata: The Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised a workshop on the Art of Drafting at Park Hotel on June 27. This workshop was held to let aspirants in the field of drafting learn more about the exercise.
Dr K R Chandratre, a company secretary from Pune who was also the former president of the ICSI, graced the occasion as the guest speaker.
Ashok Pareek, chairman of EIRC, talked about the importance of legal writing and drafting legal documents in regard to the job of company secretaries. He insisted on writing simple and grammatically correct English to brush up the standards of professional writing.
Mamta Binani, vice chairperson of EIRC, talked over the importance of proper legal writing. The vote of thanks was offered by Anjan Roy, secretary and treasurer of EIRC.
