IDP Education, one of the student placement organisations in the country for higher education in Australia, Canada, UK and USA, recently announced the launch of a ‘Virtual Fair’ for Indian students looking forward to studying in Australia. The fair provides a platform for aspiring students to interact with faculties and students of Australian universities.
Harmeet Pental, regional director, South Asia, IDP Education India said, “Having been associated with Australian universities for over 15 years now, we can assess that the situation in Australia has improved and there is an increase in students interested to study there. The fair is a one stop solution to direct the students in selecting the right course and university for themselves and choosing the right option for higher studies. IDP would also help the students with application submission, offer acceptance, visa counselling and tuition fee payment.”
Around 20 Australian universities including two listed in the world’s top 100 as per Times Higher Education – World University Ranking 2010 are participating in this fair which is open for all Indian students.
The fair offers free live chats with the selected university representatives and a 24x7 window for offline queries. Students just need to register themselves on the IDP portal and proceed to the chat room. This initiative would further help students in application fee waivers and scholarships if shortlisted.
IDP India is also hosting road shows by Australian and US/Canadian institutions across India. Over 45 universities will participate in the events spread across 11 cities from August 23 till October 2. The shows will offer one-on-one counselling and details on a plethora of study options.
