The State committee of the Government School Teachers' Union (GSTU) has called for the implementation of the Right to Education Act that will ensure a teacher-student ratio of 1:30 in schools, thereby paving the way quality education in the State.
A resolution in this regard was adopted at a State committee meeting of the union here. It urged for establishing district-level offices of the union to find lasting solution to various issues in the higher secondary education sector.
GSTU president J. Sasi chaired the session. General secretary M. Salahudeen, vice-president T.S. Salim, and treasurer K. Suresh Kumar spoke.
