Elocution contest

An elocution competition for school and college students will be held on August 15 with a view to promoting national integration and religious harmony. For college students, it will be held at the Government College, Kattappana, and for school students, St. George Higher Secondary School, Kattappana, and Government Girls' High School, Thodupuzha, will be the venue. Those who win in the school section will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1,000, Rs 600, and Rs 400 for the first, second and third places and in the college section , Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000, will be given. Those who want to attend the competition should reach the respective centres with the authorisation certificate of the head of the institution, said a release here.
