Coimbatore: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited Sathyamangalam- based Bannari Amman Institute of Technology with grade 'A', after evaluating its performance as 'very good'.
NAAC evaluated the institute's performance in key aspects like curriculum, teaching, learning and evaluation, research, consultancy and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression, governance and leadership and innovative practices, S V Balasubramanian, Chairman of the Institute told reporters here today.
The assessment by NAAC laid focus on the institutional developments with reference to three aspects – 'quality initiatives, quality sustenance and quality enhancement', he said.
Good infrastructural facilities, state-of-the art laboratories, 1,800 network computers, library with large volume of journals, curriculum design and conduct of special courses for slow learners were some of the major reasons, which helped the institute to bag this recognition.
