The Manipal Institute of Management (MIM), in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), organised a session on “Opportunities in skills and power to empower” here on Wednesday.
A press release issued by the institute here stated that the session started with a brief on India@75 and its relevance to the skills agenda of India and the role of NSDC in promoting business opportunities within the skills of eco-system.
The students of the institute were given an opportunity to develop an innovative business plans which would be later recognised by the corporation.
Path-breaking
India@75 is a path-breaking initiative of the CII for realising the dream of sustainable, inclusive, and developed India by 2022, when the country would complete 75 years of Independence.
Executive Director of India@75 Bhairavi Jani, Project Manager at India@75 Sandeep Kirpalani, analyst from NSDC Dipra Mukhopadhyay, and director of the Institute P. Ramakrishna Chadaga were present.
India@75 and NSDC are co-organising a Vocational Skills Enterprise Plan Competition focused on encouraging innovative and implementable business solutions. This was the fourth interactive session, which Manipal Institute of Management had organised under the Guest Lecture Series, where the corporate leaders interact with the future budding managers.
