Germany-based Hof University of Applied Sciences entered into a MoU with PSG Institute of Advanced Studies here to offer two year German-Indian Management Studies MBA Program from this academic year.
The four semester program will have students do the first semester in PSG, when German will be taught and attend the next three semesters at Hof University of Applied Sciences, University President Dr Jurgan Lehmann told reporters here.
The main emphasis was on internship offered by German companies, as students on completing the course work, would do an internship in a German company for six months, which would be a value addition, he said.
The students are also eligible for a work permit to take up assignments in any part of Germany, L Gopalakrishnan, managing trusee of PSG institutions said.
Twenty five students have been admitted in the first batch, he said, adding that by signing the MOU with Bavarian Indian Centre for Business and University Cooperation, Hof University, the institution and University would jointly work towards setting up a nodal institute for vocational training.
This would offer advanced tool engineering diploma catering to modern industries like automobile and aerospace, he said.
The MoU would also allow faculty and graduates exchange and provide opportunity for research in Nanotechnology, Lehmann said adding both the institutions were working to formulate a combined and comprehensive curriculum for the course, beneficial for both countries.
