After an investigation by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Mumbai, the railways have denied that Sunday’s exam paper was leaked.
On Sunday, Rajkumar Patil (25) was arrested by the D N Nagar police for cheating at the examination of the post of assistant station master. Patil was found carrying three answer sheets that were marked with answers, leading to fears among fellow candidates that the papers were leaked.
B K Dadabhoy, chairman of RRB, said, “During the investigation, we found out that Patil’s answer sheets did not match the questions. So there is no chance that the question paper was leaked and the examination stands valid.” The re-examination for the post of assistant station master was conducted after the multi crore-railway recruitment scam had surfaced in 2010.Meanwhile, Patil has been charged for cheating under the IPC.
