July 24 saw the launch of www.smtsn.com, a super specialty social media networking, at ITC Sonar Bangla. Social Media Time Share Networking (SMTSN) is an endeavour of the School of Values (SoV), backed by calcuttayellowpages.com (P) Ltd. The event was graced but Dr Sadhan Chandra Ray, Dr S K Mitra, and many other renowned doctors of the city.
SMTSN is a super specialty social networking media, which acts as an interactive interface between the doctors around the globe, their respective patients, and also medical/surgical companies and hospitals/ nursing homes.
“Social networking should be used for the socio-economical upliftment of the society, therefore SMTSN,” says Aniruddha Sarkar, founder and chief patron of the SoV. “The event that we are witnessing today is beyond my scope, but I understand that through this networking site doctors from around the globe will be able to interact with each other,” said Dr Ray. Not only will the networking medium be aiding the doctors, but it will also be a help for post graduate medical students to give a boost to their knowledge through the ‘Breaking News’ section/ journals/ know-how, and most interestingly, the ‘research hub’ where the registered doctors will put up the latest innovative ideas related to medical science, which will be uploaded after screening and authentication by a panel of qualified jury members.
“I came here to find out what role it will be playing. I hope SMTSN will be a big success. It is really a commendable endeavour,” is what Dr S K Mitra had to say about this unique social networking site. The unveiling of the website was accompanied by a value-based seminar ‘Beyond Intelligence’ which was organised by SoV, which dealt with the ideas of emotional intelligence, social intelligence, issues related to the emotional brain, self efficacy management, accompanied by Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Meditation. Hosted by Sarkar himself, the seminar had many interactive sessions and a few interesting experiments.
“We have many more plans for SMTSN. We are trying to collaborate with many hospitals to make them SMTSN-enabled hospitals. We have also arranged a meeting with our chief minister, to discuss our future plans with her, and see how the government can help us,” saids Aniruddha Sarkar. “We want to go global. Our mission is to establish the world’s biggest medical hub, where in one platform all medical-related solutions can be authentically provided to the entire globe”, he adds.
This site is announcing social networking in a whole different level, one with a cause.
