IIHT inaugurated the launch of its new centre at Gariahat, Kolkata, by renowned actor Pallavi Chatterjee, recently. IIHT has started courses in C, TC++, C++, advance and core Java, VV Net thereby delving deep into the world of software technology.
The courses have wide applicability in retail, banking, hospitality, finance and insurance, telecommunications and healthcare sector, to monitor and analyse information through the use of a complex network. Suvadeep Das, regional manager, IIHT says, “We have placement cells in Kolkata and Bangalore to provide employment to students, although the burgeoning process of outsourcing has increased vistas for the young aspirants.”
The course fee starts from Rs 2700 for C and C++ and can exceed till Rs.18, 000 for advance and core Java, depending on the software course the student opts.
Global Infrastructure Management Specialist (GIMS) is a two-year course, run by IIHT, divided into four semesters according to the job profile, and is open to students of 10+2 level, graduates, or those still pursuing it. Remote management of infrastructure, network security, storage area network, and network architecture and design are the four major areas dealt with in the course, which also provides internationally-recognised certifications from its academic partners Microsoft, CompTIA, Sun, Red Hat and Symantec.
GNetPro (Global Networking Professional) is for a span of six months, and is tailor made for engineers in the field of IT-IMS. It imparts knowledge on hardware, data storage, applications, networking, systems security, desktop support and systems integration. The course fee for GIMS is Rs1,10,000 while for GPMS it is Rs 58,000.
