Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced seven new diploma courses as part of its distance learning programmes on novel subjects, including Yoga and Mediation.
The prorgramme was meant for academic drop-outs and those who could not continue their education for various reasons, a top IGNOU official told reporters here.
Director of State Resource Centre of IGNOU, Dr Sundareswaran Nair said the new courses would include a combined course on Yoga-Meditation-Personality development.
There would also be diploma courses on subjects like Beauty care Management, Accupressure and Holistic Medicine.
Every course would be job-oriented and they would be given technichal and academic support by IGNOU.
