The prestigious George Washington University Law School has hosted a delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur this month.
IIT-Khargpur's Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law delegation, which included Professor Uday Shankar and ten law students, attended seminars, lectures, and cultural events for two weeks at the George Washington University Law School July 5 to 16, a media release said.
The visit of the delegation was part of Technical Collaboration Agreement reached between the two academic institutions signed in 2006. In 2010, IIT Kharagpur hosted a delegation of law school students from The George Washington University Law School.
Early this month, George Washington Law hosted a reception for the IIT delegation and friends of its India Studies programme. Vinod Gupta, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur who helped sponsor the educational exchange between GW Law and IIT Kharagpur, was recognised at the reception by George Washington University president Steven Knapp.
Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law is a Law school based at the IIT-Kharagpur and has the unique distinction of being the only law school within the IIT system.
