At the counselling centre, as soon as the candidate enters Anna University campus, 5 special bank counters are provided for remitting the counseling fee for those who have not brought the DD for the required amount of Rs 5000/ (Rs1000/- for SC/ST candidates). Once the fee is paid, the candidates along with parents proceed to a briefing hall, where the candidates are provided with details on the entire counselling process. This briefing hall is also facilitated with a giant screen on which the latest updates on category based seat vacancies is provided for all those waiting at the hall for their turn of counselling.
Subsequent to the briefing, the students proceed towards certificate verification counter. Here, the students original documents are verified after which the students proceed to the actual spot where the college and course is selected.
Although a specific time is allotted for a particular cutoff mark, the students and the person accompanying are never pressed upon to select the course and college in time.
Once the selection of course and college is complete, the students are guided to another floor to pickup their call letters that is handed over to them within the next five minutes.
At every point, there are well-instructed staffs to guide to every student and parent to the next level. Moreover, staffs posted at various duties keep a vigil over unusual visitors.
