Junior lecturers to be appointed for govt. colleges

Tamil Nadu Government has decided to appoint 500 junior lecturers in various government arts and science colleges with Rs 6000 as a monthly consolidated salary for 5 years.

As per the new plan,  500 junior lecturers would be appointed in various government Arts, Sciece and B.Ed colleges with Rs 6,000 salary per month on contract basis for 5 years.

All these lecturers will be selected and appointed as per the UGC norms. They will  work for 12 hours per week. Quota system, which is generally followed for other type of appointments, will be applicable in these appointments too. After 5 years, they will be again appointed on contract basis salary, as per the instructions of college education director.
