The state government has given permission to city's B D College to offer postgraduate (PG) courses in commerce stream from the current academic session.
The state Human Resourse Development (HRD) department has issued a notification and sent a directive to the effect to Magadh University, of which the college is a constituent unit, and the college, higher education director Sita Ram Singh said.
The college would impart postgraduate (PG) teaching in commerce earlier. But it was discontinued in 1990s and the college was offering commerce courses up to graduation level, college's professorin-charge B N Ojha said and welcomed the government decision to permit postgraduate (PG) teaching in commerce.
