'Vazhikatti' begins at Kovai

Kovai: Popular education exhibition 'Vazhikatti' was inaugurated on 25 March by the chancellor of SRM University, chennai at Kovai.

Every year, the Dinamalar daily paper conducts 'Jaithukattuvoum' a guidance programme for X and XII standard students to face the exams without fear and to score high marks.

Educational exhibition in the name 'Vazhikatti' is conducted every year under one roof to select the right course in higher education, to know the job opportunity related to the course, and select standardised college.

This year, the educational exhibition 'Vazhikatti' is jointly organsised by SRM University along with Dinamalar . In which more than 100 colleges have put up their stalls. Students visit these stalls and get complete details about higher education.

Experts and professionals deliver special guidance seminars from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the morning and from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at noon.

SRM University Professor, Balaji, speaks on the topic 'Growing opportunity in the field Media'. Education counselor Jayaprakash Gandhi on the topic 'Course selection and its job opportunities',a senior official from TCS, Pattabiraman on the topic, 'Present trends of IT and Computer department, Inspector General, Sylendra Babu on the topic,'Future roles of IAS and IPS' and Narasiah, an expert with 30 years of experience would be speaking on the topic, 'Job opportunities for Marine related courses'.

Students visiting the exhibition are provided with 64 page guidance book, on the goal after Plus 2 at free of cost.
