Dharmapuri Medical college awaiting approval

Chennai: The Dharmapuri Medical College was not granted approval from the Medical Council of India this year, which had admitted its first batch of students last year.
As representations were made to the MCI and the Centre to grant approval, however, Tamil Nadu Health Department officials said that there was no cause for worry .A three-member team from the MCI met officials of the Directorate of Medical Education and the Health Department here.

They will also meet representatives of the two colleges that were recently in the news for charging capitation fee for MBBS seats.
