A 26-member delegation from the United Kingdom, exploring opportunities on healthcare education and training, would visit Chennai later this week.
The delegation representing schools of health, life sciences, nursing, community and child health are part of this mission, an official release from the United Kingdom embassy said here.
"UK universities and colleges are no stranger to the health care sector across India. Apollo Hospitals, Rajan Eye Care, M V Diabetes, Shasun Chemicals and Orchid are some of the institutions in this region with perse links with the UK's healthcare sector...", British Deputy High Commissioner in Southern India Mike Nithavrianakis said.
"We have invited Indian healthcare education and training institutions and companies across South India to meet the UK Delegation and I do hope they will use the opportunity," he added.
The delegation includes teams from Universities of Bradford, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Teeside, Northampton, Greenwich, Sheffield Hallam, Cumbria, Chester, Huddersfield, Robert Gordon, De Montfort, Derby, Glasgow Caledonian and Liverpoll John Moors, the release added.
