The B-school has a state-of-the-art campus, all the required facilities, an eclectic faculty, and a curriculum that has been chosen with utmost care to fulfil the practical requirements of tomorrow’s business managers. At least this what Rahul Gupta, MD of the Mayfair Group, says.

With an affiliation from Punjab Technical University, Mayfair Business School offers undergraduate courses such as BBA, BCA, and PG courses such as MBA and MCA. The institution boasts of experienced faculty from institutes such as IIM, ISWBM, and others.

“The Mayfair group has been catering to a huge number of LIG and MIG customers over the years through its different projects mostly outside Kolkata. The Mayfair Business School stands to offer that same committed effort in the field of specialised education. We will be putting stress on the personality development and basic grooming of each student here. We at Mayfair believe in making professionals who can give a cutting edge to the businesses in this highly dynamic contemporary business environment,” says S K Gupta, Chairman, Mayfair group.

The most talked about feature of this school is the fee structure. The B-school is offering its MBA course for just Rs 1, 50,000 for the whole curriculum with a free laptop to all students. This sets the Mayfair school apart from the rest. The B-school is also offering 10 per cent discount to female candidates and 5 per cent to Mayfair residents. Special scholarships on merit basis will also be provided. S K Gupta also declared that every year two economically backward students would be given free education.

The academic session will be starting September this year. There will be an admission test for students applying for undergraduate courses. The basic minimum requirement for UG courses is 50 per cent for all streams. After the admission test there will be a group discussion and personal interview. Students applying for postgraduate courses will be selected through CAT, XAT and MAT examinations. The Mayfair B-school also boasts of international tie-ups with universities like Birmingham City University, City College, Norwich, New College, Nottingham and University College, Birmingham. It is thus possible for students to migrate to a foreign university after one year of MBA course in Mayfair.

While the group promises 100 per cent placement, Rahul Gupta comments, “We are planning to start an autonomous course on real estate management through which we can also fulfil our internal manpower requirement. We will also have a strong placement cell.:Annamalai University has joined hands with Institute of Computer Accountants (ICA) to launch B.Com (finance and investment) programme.

Under this programme, a student will gain practical knowledge in areas like accounts, taxation, and banking with the latest softwares and computer applications. In the second and third years, the student is promised on-job training and earning-while-learning.

As a result, at the end of the three-year degree programme, the student will have two years of work experience as well as a degree from Annamalai University. The course will be available at various ICA centres in north India, including Delhi.
