The Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB) and the University of International Business and Economics ( UIBE), Beijing, are jointly organising a conference , 'Leadership and Management in a Changing World: Lessons from ancient east and west philosophy' from June 12-14 in Athens.
The objective of the conference is to bring to the surface dominant ideas from ancient philosophy, which are related to modern leadership and management, and lead to the development of important conclusions concerning the practice of leadership and management . It is aimed at managers and leaders of organisations in the private and public sector, educators and management thinkers, who stand to benefit from this conference.
The conference will have 12 parallel sessions with themes like leadership and philosophy /business ethics, values and corporate social responsibility, and today's management , east and west, etc.
The speakers include Thomas Donaldson, professor, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; Geoffrey Lloyd, professor, Cambridge University and Paul Judge, president , Association of MBAs, among others.
