A delegation from the University of Dayton, Ohio, led by Joseph Saliba, provost, recently visited Delhi Technological University (DTU) to explore possibilities of collaboration between University of Dayton (UD) and DTU. The delegation met the vice chancellor, heads of the departments and deans of the university and also visited the DTU centre for biofuels research and research centre in optical communication. During the interaction with the faculty, common areas of collaboration have been identified such as new materials and composites, electro- optics, sensor integration and remote sensing, image processing and data compression, and clean energy technologies. It was decided to develop collaborative linkages for joint PhD programmes, student exchange for international experience and also knowledge partnership in selected areas for collaborative education.
