Even after a two-day long meeting between the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) and the directors of educational institutions, there has been no outcome on the debate on proposed Fee Regulation Act, expected to be tabled in the coming session of Maharashtra legislature.
The directors of the educational institutions today held talks with the Joint Select Committee chaired by Maharashtra Minister of Education Rajendra Darda.
"We will further discuss the required amendments to the Bill, as suggested by the PTA and the directors of the educational institutions, and after that the government will come out with a new bill," Darda told reporters.
"We received some really valuable suggestions during the meeting," he said.
Around 150 members of the PTA held talks with the Joint Select Committee, comprising 26 MLAs from both the houses here on 1 June.
