Gujarat govt opens helpline for state students in Australia

Ahmedabad: Gujarat government opened an online helpline for state students studying in Australia

The  Gujarat government said in a release that, an online helpline had set about for state students who are studying in Australia, in order to safe guard  racist attacks on Indians. For complaints the  students or parents can email to [email protected]

' We have opened this helpline so that students or parents can email us their issues and we will convey them to the appropriate authorities in the central government,' state government spokesperson Jaynarayan Vyas said in a statement.

He added that the state government's NRG department will check the mails every hour.

It may be noted that Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi met Australian High Commissioner in Delhi, who briefed the CM about steps taken by the Australia government regarding the racial attacks on Indian students.
