City Pride school, Pradhikaran – Nigdi, recently held an activity to inculcate entrepreneurial skills in the school students. Titled ‘Business City’, the programme was inaugurated by Mangalatai Kadam, former mayor of Pimpri Chinchwad. Later, Nalini Jambhekar released the school magazine.
The school children had put up stalls of eatables, games and art and craft articles. They worked out the cost price, selling price and profit margin. The games were based on scientific principles through which the children learnt its application. The students raised funds for their stalls by drafting a loan application along with a proposal to the school bank set up for the purpose. The bankers, again, were students who went through these applications and sanctioned the funds.
