Bhubaneswar: Seventy-five candidates passing out from seven IITs of the country have joined KIIT University as faculty members.
The B Tech, M Tech and PhD candidates from IITs were appointed as faculty in different courses of KIIT. While about half of the selected candidates have already joined, remaining will be joining by the end of this month.
The presence of such a large number of IITians will add to intellectual capital of KIIT University. This has also bolstered confidence of students and guardians on the quality of education here. Academicians commended the efforts of KIIT Founder, Dr A Samanta in roping in IITians and expressed hope that this would do a lot of good to the engineering education in the state.
Besides the IITians, more than 20 competent professors from different reputed universities across the country have also joined KIIT. Five law academicians of national and international repute have joined KIIT Law School.
KIIT University has been attracting intellectuals from the country and outside due to its good reputation. Recent appointments will not only further add to its reputation, but also invigorate the general academic environment in the state, said Dr Samanta.
