India's Amity University will set up a campus in Dubai for students looking to pursue higher education in the UAE, a university official has said.
The university seeks to bring new courses to students based in the Gulf region.
Atul Chauhan, chancellor of the university, told Khaleej Times that the university is building an international network of universities and the Dubai campus will offer students with a wide range of programmes.
The university which has 15 campuses in India and six other international campuses, provides education to over 80,000 students around the world.
"We are hoping to begin our programmes for the academic year starting in September this year and admissions to our courses on the Dubai campus will begin shortly," Atul was quoted by the newspaper as saying.
