For the second consecutive year, candidates for IITJEE came out of test centres on Sunday fuming about errors in the question paper. Several students complained that three questions in math were wrong. IIT-Kanpur director, Sanjay Dhande, said he had not received any complaints but would investigate the matter.
A little over 4.85 lakh aspirants appeared for JEE-2011, conducted at 1, 051 centres in 131 cities for roughly 10, 000 seats in 16 IITs and the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
The participation of women at 1.13 lakh remained the same as last year, while the total number of candidates rose by about 30, 000.
