Bridal showcase

 Sheffield Hallam University student Kate Harrod won the Best Student Designer award at the Bridal Buyers Awards held recently.

Harrod's wedding dress was inspired by the dramatic demise of the Russian royal family. Two other third-year students , Rachel Holliday and Sarah Naylor-Smith , also fought off stiff competition from hundreds of other would-be designers to be shortlisted for the award. All three dresses will be displayed at the British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate.
