M. Sylendra Babu, Police Commissioner of Kovai emphasized that students need to select a job which they are really passionate about. Speaking at Vazhikatti, a higher education guidance programme for plus two completed students hosted by Dinamalar in association with SRM Educational institutions, the super cop stressed the fact that forcing students to study particular courses of others choice would not be healthy for a good career on the long run, instead the students should take studies that they are really fascinated. He stated, as there are scores jobs in offering for students running after jobs is not necessary. But, it’s important for any student to study the subject of their choice. Advising plus two completed students gathered for the seminar, he told this point of their life is very vital, as it is the pivotal point on deciding a student’s future. All the courses would certainly fetch jobs, but the manner in which they study, possession of in-depth knowledge in the specific area of studies and other skills acquired for employability is very crucial. Fat pay package, authority, fame, recognition or accomplishment is what the student first needs to decide and accordingly make choices in life. Recognition, money, easy career choice are all important, but it is imperative for a student select a course his/ her choice depending on the skills sets one possesses. IAS and IPS are the highest profile civil services government jobs available in India. Right away start preparing for it by developing communication skills, update yourself on current affairs. Becoming IAS or IPS is possible through successfully clearing preliminary, final exams and a personal interview. Even persons coming from economically poor background can successfully get through the civil services. Gather information on the means to prepare for the exam.
