Coffee table book on IIM-A released

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, (IIM-A), celebrating its golden jubilee year, today released a coffee table book on itself.

'IIMA: India's Management Athenaeum' was released by Vijaypat Singhania, Chairperson of IIM-A's Board of Governors.

"The coffee table book gives a peep into the heart and soul of the institution," a statement from the top business school said.

"The editors have put together photographs from different stages of its development and many short, light-hearted descriptions which together give the reader a flavor of this iconic business school with all its diversity and its vibrant culture," it added.

The book was targeted at two sets of readers, first, everyone who has been part of the IIM-A community down the decades. Second, those who have heard about IIM-A, are intrigued about it, and would like to know more about what makes it special and different from other business schools, the statement said.

The book is an outcome of the year-long work by a team which had got in touch with hundreds of former and current students, faculty, and staff spread all over the world, to collect information.
