Landmarc Leisure Corporation Limited recently opened Svastii Wellness Academy, Mumbai’s first Wellness Academy in Andheri.
Owing to increased awareness in the field of scientific beauty therapy, holistic health and well being, greater interest towards self improvement and a more liberalised environment, the spa industry in India is growing at a rapid pace. “According to FICCI, the Indian spa industry needs over 20, 000 new professionals every year and offers very good earning opportunities for well-trained professionals,” says Paulomi Dhawan, Managing Director, Landmarc Leisure Corporation Limited. “There is also a great demand for well-trained and experienced Indian professionals in the global hospitality and spa industry,” she adds.
The courses at Svastii Wellness Academy are aimed at both freshers and experienced professionals to enhance their skills. The academy has been divided into three distinct categories namely The School of Wellness, which caters to courses related to yoga, beauty treatment and ayurvedic therapies, dietary concepts and ayurvedic diagnostic concepts; The School of Beauty and Grooming, which provides all treatments that fall into this category from hairdressing, styling to nail art, and The School of Spa, Holistic, Eastern and Chinese Therapies which includes certificate courses in spa-holistic, eastern and Chinese therapies.
The Svastii Wellness Academy is all set to roll out the first set of courses February 15, 2011 onwards and admissions are open for the same.
