AICTE launches web-based application

In a bid to promote transparency and accountability in its functioning, AICTE launched a new web-based application providing information and data as filled in by the institutions.
Launching the application, HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said the new feature would benefit students to identify the institute of their choice and at the same time ensure transparency in the self-disclosure regime.

He also launched AICTE's web-based 'business intelligence report' which will provide complete current statistics pertaining to issues like courses, programmes, faculty, students etc. in the public domain and in real time.

This is expected to improve transparency and also provide useful information to the general public and all stake holders, Sibal said.

AICTE has further introduced sms service that will inform and update the status of the applications made under various categories to AICTE for approval.
