S. Kumaran of Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai, was adjudged the best manager in the State-level management meet of MBA students ‘intellectual carnival 2011' held at the Hallmark Business School recently.
D.Vidya of VIT, Chennai, finished second and Bijoy of J.J.Engineering College, Tiruchi, was placed third in the best manager event.
Over 350 students from 40 colleges participated in the day-long meet.
Presiding over the inaugural, R.Krishnamurthy, chairman of the college, said the objective of the meet is to enhance the extracurricular activities, soft-skills and talents of management students.
M.V.Ashok Babu, Deputy General Manager, TTK Limited, Chennai, in his inaugural address said that by enhancing soft-skills, the youth can aspire for a bright career in life. The students actively participated in the business quiz, product launch, stock war, and best manager competitions.
J.Jayaraman, secretary, Hallmark Business School, presided over the valediction and P.Pradiv Chand, CEO, CARE Group of Institutions, gave away prizes to the winners of the competitions. Cash prize of Rs.40,000 was distributed to the winners. Following are the winners of the competitions:

Product Launch: 1. Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore; 2. SASTRA University and 3. MAM College of Engineering and Technology, Siruganur.
Stock War: 1. Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore; 2. J. J. School of Business Management; 3. Sri Saraswathi Thiagaraja College, Pollachi.
