In view of the forthcoming assembly polls in the State to be held on April 13, the Madras University has decided to reschedule some its examinations.
Speaking to reporters, G. Thiruvasagam, the Vice-Chancellor of the universtiy told reporters that the exams would begin as scheduled on April 1 but there would be a break as colleges would be used as polling stations.
A core committee of the university would work out the fresh schedule on March 10.
The results would be delayed, he said.
