MG Varsity convocation postponed

The Mahatma Gandhi University here has postponed its special convocation ceremony, scheduled for March 2.
The ceremony was postponed as the election code of conduct had come into effect, a University spokesman said.
 
The university has decided to confer honorary degree of D.Litt to Editor-in-Chief of The Hindu Padma Bhushan N Ram, veteran music director V Dakshinamoorthy and noted painter and sculptor A Ramachandran and tomorrow.
 
The new date will be announced later, he said.
