The junior college online admission system will have more options for Class X students this year. Students will have to enter codes of at least 35 colleges, unlike just a minimum of five last year. This has been done to reduce the queues for offline admission. In the first part of the form students will have to fill codes of at last 15 colleges of their choice. In the second part, they are expected to select two zones of their choice (North, West, South, etc) and enter codes of at least 15 colleges in those particular areas. In the final part of the form, students will have to choose any two wards (residential area) and enter codes of at least five colleges in the wards. “This process will give the computer maximum choices and ensure that each and every student is allotted a seat in a college of their choice. There should be very few students, if at all, who end up without seats in the online admission system this year,” said a senior official from the school education director’s office.
