Sampurnand Sanskrit University (SSU) here announced the setting up of a committee to probe the authenticity of colleges affiliated to it following complaints related to the matter, University sources said.
"As many as 650 colleges are affiliated to Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. Most of the complaints we have received so far are related to their affiliation status. We are forming a committee to probe the complaints," Vice Chancellor Binda Prasad Mishra said last evening.
"We are in the process of fine-tuning the system. We will try to bring in more transparency in the functioning of various departments and CDs of all records will be made," he said.
Strict action will be initiated against those who tamper with records, Mishra said.
The V-C expressed anguish over alleged instances of educational grants not being utilised by the University Grant Cell.
The V-C, who inspected the campus of the SSU, imposed a ban on consumption of tobacco products with immediate effect.
