Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct a re-examination for about 2000 posts of assistant loco pilots on Sunday under a new system.
The exams for the post of assistant loco pilots were cancelled in June last year after the question papers were leaked. The leakage case is being probed by the CBI.
The fresh examinations will be held in Mumbai, Nagpur, Solapur and Ajmer.
After the question paper leakage incident, railways have changed the examination system to prevent such leakage.
"We are now following a secret procedure with checks and balances in preparing the multiple question sets in the new system," said a senior Railway Ministry official.
Unlike the earlier practice, there is no dependence on any individual in the new system.
"Earlier it was RRB centric. Now with the involvement of zonal railways and divisions, RRB team has now less opportunity in interfering with the system," said the official.
After the introduction of the new system, RRB has conducted exams for about 36,000 vacant posts in safety categories in December 2010 and January this year under the new system.
