In a new venture, the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are making collaborated efforts for a masters course in science.
The programme, masters in bioinformatics and biotechnology, will be a regular course at the IBAB campus in Bangalore and students with bachelor's degree in any branch of science or technology will be eligible to pursue it, according to IBAB official.
By providing training in the areas of cell and molecular biology, computer science, statistics, and bioinformatics, the course aims to provide competence in both biotechnology and computational biology, he said.
The application forms are available for students till April 14, 2011 at the IBAB campus followed by an online written test.
